Welcome to Preschool Room 14! My name is Mrs. Varinder Chahal and I am the assigned teacher in your child’s classroom. The children may call me Mrs. ChahaI. I have been married to my husband Kulvir Chahal for 10 years. We have two boys Harvin and Gurvin who are in school in Natomas Unified School District. Harvin is nine and Gurvin is seven years old. I have been working with children for over 15 years. I graduated from Yuba High School and immediately attended Sacramento City College where I graduated with an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education and later obtained my Bachelors in Child Development from California State University Sacramento. I Love working with this age group and we learn through our experiences every day. I enjoy singing with my students and do not mind acting silly! I enjoy every aspect of teaching and have realized in my years that they can teach us as much as we teach them. This is one of my favorite things about teaching. I am dedicated to the social and emotional development of each child and make it my goal to make sure that each child receives the best care and love that they all deserve. I feel very proud and lucky to be part of such a great group of staff at Noralto.

MS. WALTHALL WITH MR. WHATLEY & MS. BATES - ROOM 15 (SDC)
I have taught preschool thru 3rd grade for 30 plus years in the private sector, with half that time working with preschool students. After working for 7 years in a non-public school for children with special needs I found my love and passion: teaching Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE). I earned my BA in Liberal Arts at Chapman University in 2013 and my Credentials for Early Childhood Special Education/Early Intervention from Sac State (CSUS) in 2015. I was hired by Twin Rivers in 2015 and have been with this amazing school district ever since!
My credential is in the field of Mild/Mod and Mod/Severe Special Education (including Autism, Down syndrome, Visual Impairment, Intellectual Disabilities as well as other disabilities). I am very excited about continuing my teaching career at Noralto, where I can be dedicated to help your child succeed and reach their potential.
When not teaching I love spending time with my husband Greg, our children, our beautiful grandchildren, and our goofy lab, Chloe. I enjoy crocheting and cross stitch and most other crafts.
